Chairman of the Board - Dr. Ali Eydgahi
Dr. Eydgahi received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He started his career as a faculty member at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1985 and since then he has been with the State University of New York, Oakland University, Tehran University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, and Eastern Michigan University as an administrator and/or a faculty member. Dr. Eydgahi has served as the chair and/or a member of numerous national and international professional societies and has received a number of awards for his accomplishments. Dr. Eydgahi joined the Child Foundation Board of Directors August 2011.
President - Dr. Peyman Raoofi
Dr. Peyman Raoofi received his Bachelor’s Degree with Honors from California State University, Northridge in Psychology. He then obtained his Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University and his Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Raoofi has published several papers on Autism. Dr. Raoofi is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles County Psychological Association, and the Board of Iranian Psychological Association of America. Dr. Raoofi is a recipient of the highest level honor of the President’s Volunteer Service Award. He also has been recognized as an Honorary Ambassador by UNICEF.
Treasurer - Mr. Kamyar Lashgari
Mr. Lashgari received his Bachelor in Urban Planning and Masters in Urban Design from the University of Washington and has been a professional planner and designer for the past 34 years. At the start of his career, Mr. Lashgari worked in the public sector for various cities in Washington and California as an Urban Designer and Planner.  He later worked for architectural and civil engineering firms in both Southern California and Iran.  While working in Iran, he specialized in urban reconstruction planning for areas affected by the war. Mr. Lashgari has established his own consulting firm, designing urban development projects in California, Nevada, Arizona and overseas.  In year 2000, Mr. Lashgari shifted his focus to private real estate development.  Since that time, he has designed, developed and built residential and commercial real estate projects throughout Southern California, ranging from public schools to multi-million dollar homes. He is a nationally Certified Planner by American Planning Association, a registered Professional Land surveyor and a licensed Engineering and Building Contractor with the State of California.
Secretary - Dr. Nader Namazi
Nader Namazi received his Ph.D. from Missouri University of Science and Technology, formerly known as the University of Missouri-Rolla, in 1985. He was with the Michigan Technological University, Houghton, from 1985 to 1992, where he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor. Since 1992, he has been with the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., where he is currently a Professor of Electrical Engineering. He was the Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from 2005-2008. He is currently a member of Board of Directors of the Child Foundation. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Modeling and Simulation from 1994 to 1996. He is the author of the book New Algorithms for variable Time Delay and Nonuniform Image Motion Estimation (1994). His research interests are in different aspects of image motion detection and estimation, image sequence filtering/restoration, and digital communications. Dr. Namazi is a senior member of IEEE and member of Eta Kappa Nu. He is also the recipient of the Alpha Delta Gamma Teaching Award.

Chief Compliance Officer - Dr. Jamal Rostami

Dr. Rostami is the Hadden / Alacer Gold Endowed Chair and Director of the Excavation Engineering and Earth Mechanics Institute at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. He has graduated from the University of Tehran (UT), Faculty of Engineering (Fanni) in 1983 in Mining Engineering.  His graduate degrees include MSc and PhD in mining engineering from the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) in 92 and 97, respectively.  He has been a faculty at CSM, Univ. of Tehran, the Pennsylvania State University (PSU), and full time consultant from 2002 to 2007. He has over 26 years of experience in design, management, research, and teaching in the field of mining, tunneling, and underground construction.  He is a member of SME, ASCE, ARMA, ISEE, IRSME, IRRMS, and TRB AFF-60 tunneling committee, as well as editorial board of several journals in the related fields.  He is also the founder of Professors Without Borders (PWOB), a founding member of Iranian American Academics and Professionals (IAAP), and a member of the board of directors of the Child Foundation since 2013.
