In Loving Memory of
Mrs. Nahid Safavi-Bayat (Muji)
Nahid was a beautiful woman. She was a happy woman, sincere, sarcastic, and soft of soul.
Muji was a free spirit. She charmed the world, gained its adoration, added her artistry in a million small touches. She gave her love fiercely and wholly, devoted as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother – aunt, cousin, sister, compatriot, individual. She was a loyal partner. She was a laughing friend. She earned the respect of intellectuals and the trust of children. Her eyes sparkled. Her laugh was dangerous. Especially if you were standing on her right.
She hosted life and guests with flair and sincerity. She gave freely. She brought balance. She sought health. She loved and laughed – and laughed—and laughed –without reservation, without expectation.
She was elegant. She was funny. She was strong. She was our queen. Nahid was a beautiful woman. She is a beautiful soul.
|For those who wish to make a donation in honor of Mrs. Nahid Safavi-Bayat, a special memorial fund has been set up in her memory.|
To the happy, I am at peace.
To the living, I am eternal.
And to the faithful, I have never left.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you stand upon a shore,
gazing at the ocean — remember me.
Remember me in your heart, your thoughts,
your memories of the times we loved, the times we cried, the times we endured,
and the times we laughed.
